Tennis Opens Five-Match Homestand on Sunday Afternoon

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team opens a season long five match homestand on Sunday afternoon in a match with the College of Charleston as the Cougars visit Clinton. The matchup with the Cougars is set for a 1 p.m. first serve.

"We have a quick turnaround against the College of Charleston but I know the team will be ready," said head coach Joel Roberts. "It will be another great day to compete as we return to our home court for the first of five consecutive home matches."

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- College of Charleston comes into the weekend with an 0-2 record as the Cougars travel to Charlotte on Saturday afternoon before making the trek to Clinton on Sunday.
- Saturday's match for the Cougars marks the first time they have played since January 24 as there last two matches have been postponed against Georgia State and UNC Wilmington.
- Eva Nyikos has earned a singles win at No. 2 singles for College of Charleston.
- The doubles pairs of Elizabeth Nowak and Slade Coetzee along with Kate Earnhardt and Eva Nyikos have gone a perfect 2-0 on the young season.

LAST TIME OUT
- In Presbyterian most recent match they dropped a 7-0 decision at the hands of #24 Furman on Thursday afternoon in Greenville.
- PC began the week with a 7-0 shutout victory over Belmont Abbey for the team's first victory of the 2021 spring.

UP NEXT
- Presbyterian continues a five match home stretch on Thursday February 25 with a 2 p.m. first serve against Elon.
