Spartanburg, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team pulled away in the second half to defeat Wofford 16-9 on Thursday night at Gibbs Stadium. Sophomore
Abby Edmisten scored a collegiate-best six points to lead the Blue Hose on offense.

Scoring The Game
Kara DiClemente converted a free-position shot at 25:59 to give the Blue Hose an early 1-0 lead. Wofford responded quickly with a goal from Olivia Abe to tie the game at 25:03, but PC then rattled off the next four goals to take a 5-1 advantage after
Kelly Hyman scored at 15:10 with an assist from
Madison Berg. After another Terrier goal, the Blue Hose built to a five-goal advantage, 8-3, after Berg buried her second goal of the game with 7:04 remaining in the half. From there, it was all Wofford as the Terriers scored three unanswered goals before halftime to cut the lead to 8-6.
The Blue Hose built back to a five-goal lead, 11-6, with 19:32 to play after strikes from DiClemente, Berg and Hyman opened the second half. The Terriers showed some fight with goals from Leah Hurley and Shannon Wulff to make it 11-8 with 14:35 remaining. PC then pulled away with five-unanswered goals to carry a 16-8 advantage into the game's final minute. Wofford's Emma Gentile scored with 22 seconds left to give a final score of 16-8.
