Welcome Back!
PC returns just 13 members from last year's squad that went 6-13-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play. Highlighting the group is redshirt sophomore defender Cesar Sancho and senior defender Luca Ziegler. Sancho was named to the Big South First Team and the All-Freshman Team after leading the team with 12 points on six goals.

New Kids On The Pitch
Presbyterian welcomes 18 new faces to this year's squad which includes 14 true freshmen. Joining the Blue Hose with previous experience are redshirt freshman Jose Lado, sophomores Gerard Lopez, Cameron Zamudio, and junior Phillimon Bedard-Khalid. The new faces wasted no time making a name for themselves as freshman Nacho Gallego scored the Blue Hose first goal of the season against Erskine. Freshman Voro Rivera Peris also scored his first collegiate goal against the Flying Fleet on a pass from Bedard-Khalid.

Milestones Within Reach
Despite the shortened spring season, the Blue Hose have a two players with the opportunity to climb ranks in the program record book this season. Ziegler's two assists on Wednesday night moved him into a tie for first all-time and now he needs just one to set the program record. The senior must also log 828 minutes to jump into second or 1323 minutes to eclipse the school record.
Junior goalkeeper Valentin Kliebe needs two wins to move into third all-time while a third would push him to second in program history.

Ziegler Garners Preseason Honors
Ziegler became the first player in program history to be named the Big South Conference Preseason Defensive Player of the Year after having a breakout junior campaign with seven points on two goals and three assists.
The Oberroth, Germany native has been named to the Big South Second Team the last two years and earned a spot on the Big South's All-Tournament Team a season ago. The senior enters his final season with 60 career starts, 5406 minutes played, 11 points, two goals and seven assists.

Preseason Poll
The Blue Hose were tabbed to finish fourth in the Big South preseason poll for the third consecutive year. A season ago, the Blue Hose defeated Winthrop 2-1 in thrilling fashion before falling to Campbell in the semifinals.

Up Next
PC hits the road for the first time this season as they travel to USC Upstate on Wednesday, March 3 to battle the Spartans at 7 p.m. from County University Soccer Stadium.
