Blue Hose Head To Gardner-Webb on Sunday

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's soccer team returns to the pitch on Sunday afternoon as the Blue Hose travel to Boiling Springs to face Gardner-Webb at 3 p.m. at Greene-Harbison Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
- Sunday's match will be the 13th all-time meeting in the Blue Hose DI era with Gardner-Webb holding a 10-2 lead in the series overall.

SCOUTING THE RUNNIN' BULLDOGS
- Gardner-Webb enters Sunday's match with a 3-3 overall record and is 1-2 in conference play after a 3-2 win against Longwood last time out. Ryan Madondo buried a pair of goals in the contest to lead Gardner-Webb to the victory.

- The Presbyterian College men's soccer team was unable to overcome an early offense outburst from USC Upstate as the host Spartans earned a 5-1 win on Wednesday night at County University Stadium. - - Cesar Sancho connected on his third goal of the season in the second half for the Blue Hose as their lone tally in the game.
 
NOKKVASON FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Presbyterian College men's soccer freshman defender Nokkvi Nokkvason was named the Big South Freshman of the Week for games played Feb. 22-28, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
- Nokkvason scored his first career goal Feb. 24 in PC's victory over Lees-McRae.  He connected on his lone attempt and gave the Blue Hose a 2-0 lead at the time.  On Sunday against Longwood, he was part of a backline that permitted just eight shots and four on frame.

MILESTONES WITHIN REACH
- Despite the shortened spring season, the Blue Hose have a two players with the opportunity to climb ranks in the program record book this season. Ziegler's two assists on Wednesday night against Lees-McRae moved him into a tie for first all-time and now he needs just one to set the program record. The senior must also log 785 minutes to jump into second or 1280 minutes to eclipse the school record.
