Men's Tennis Earns 6-1 Victory over Emmanuel on Friday

Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis improved to 4-1 on the spring on Friday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Emmanuel College at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got out to a fast start with a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles from Teo Cariov and Alberto Conde before finishing off the doubles point with a 6-1 win at the top doubles spot by Max Benson and Daniel Stenger.
- Daniel Martens and Nicholas McKinney earned a 6-2 win in doubles action as well.
- Benson extended the Blue Hose lead to 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 1 singles position.
- In the No. 4 singles position, Cariov extended the PC lead to 3-0 before McKinney clinched the match for PC with a straight set win at No. 3 singles.
- Conde (No. 5 singles) and Stenger (No. 2 singles) also picked up straight set wins, while Emmanuel earned a point at No. 6 singles to give the match a 6-1 final on Friday afternoon.

NOTABLES
- Off of his player of the week award, Stenger improved to 4-1 in singles on Friday.
- PC improved to 11-3 in doubles matches thru its first five matches of the season. The Blue Hose have won six straight individual doubles matches.
- The Blue Hose improve to 4-1 on the spring which is their best start since starting 5-1 in the 2019 spring.

- Presbyterian has a quick turnaround as it opens Big South play tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. against Gardner-Webb at the Templeton Tennis Courts.
