With Upstate on top 18-11, the visitors used a 4-0 run to essentially put the set beyond reach and go up 2-0 in the contest.
- USC Upstate jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the third set, but PC answered with a 6-1 run of its own to even the frame at 7-7. At 14-14, Upstate broke free with a pair of 4-0 stretches to move ahead, 22-16. The Blue Hose battled back to within 23-20, but that was as close as PC got in the final frame.
