Blue Hose Suffer Setback at Gardner-Webb

Boiling Springs, N.C. – Mamadu Bah scored his fourth goal of the season, however a penalty kick goal at the end of the first half proved to be the difference as Gardner-Webb defeated the Presbyterian College men's soccer team by the score of 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Greene-Harbison Stadium.

How It Happened
-  Gardner-Webb got on the board first in the 22nd minute from Owen Zaldivar to take the 1-0 advantage.
- The Blue Hose responded in the 36th minute as Bah scored his team leading fourth goal of the season to even the game up at one apiece.
- Zaldivar finished the first half converting on a penalty kick to give the Runnin' Bulldogs the 2-1 lead.
- The second half was held without a goal as there were just four shots between the two teams (GWU-3, PC-1)

By the Numbers
- Gardner-Webb outshot the Blue Hose 8-7 with a 7-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- PC had eight corner kick opportunities compared to just two for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
- Valentin Kliebe recorded five saves in the loss.
