Blue Hose Suffer Setback Against Chanticleers

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team was shutout on Tuesday afternoon by the score of 7-0 against Coastal Carolina. The match was held at the Templeton Tennis Courts in Clinton on Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Presbyterian's No. 1 doubles pair of Beth Lacey and Zeba Jamal earned a 6-3 win before Coastal Carolina won 6-4 and 7-5 at No. 2 and 3 doubles respectively to earn the first point on Tuesday's match
- CCU pushed the lead to 2-0 with a straight-set win at No. 6 singles before extending it to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
-  The Chanticleers clinched the match with a victory coming at No. 1 singles in straight sets.
- Coastal Carolina also earned wins at No 3, 4 and 5 en route to a 7-0 win on Tuesday afternoon.
 
UP NEXT
- Presbyterian returns to the courts on Thursday afternoon against Wofford with first serve set for 2 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts. The match with the Terriers was originally slated for February 14th but was moved due to weather.
