Blue Hose Earn 4-3 Decision over Campbell

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's tennis team picked up its first league win of the spring on Tuesday with a tight 4-3 victory over Campbell at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Campbell got on the board first with a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles which was followed up by a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles to earn the first point of the match.
- Nicholas McKinney and Alberto Conde playing at No. 3 doubles earned a 6-4 victory after the guests clinched the match.
- PC got on the board in singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory from Max Benson at No. 1 singles to even the match up at one apiece.
- McKinney followed Benson up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
- Campbell evened the match up at two with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles.
- Daniel Stenger earned a straight-set win of his own to give PC a 3-2 advantage.
- Presbyterian clinched the match when Conde won his No. 6 singles match.
- The guests earned a win at no. 3 singles to give the match a 4-3 final score.
 
NOTABLES
- Tuesday's win was Head Coach John Collins first Big South victory of his Blue Hose tenure.
- Benson extended his win streak to six singles matches in a row.
- PC and Campbell have now played six straight 4-3 match results with the Blue Hose winning four of the last six.
