Notes

Last Time Out...
The Blue Hose are coming off of an 8-0 loss at USC Upstate on Sunday which gave the Spartans all three games in PC's first Big South Conference series of the season. Saturday's twin bill against Upstate marked the first Big South games for Presbyterian in 692 days. Prior to this past weekend, the Blue Hose hadn't played any league contests since ending the 2019 regular season at home against Longwood.

Scouting the Bulldogs...
South Carolina State arrives in Clinton having lost its last seven games, with its most recent setbacks coming a week ago at fellow Big South foe USC Upstate. AJ Jenkins leads the Bulldogs with a .357 batting average and five runs scored. Presbyterian and SC State split a doubleheader in Clinton back on Mar. 9, with the Bulldogs grabbing the opener and the Blue Hose bouncing back to take the finale. Haley Haselden got the starting nod in the circle in both contests for PC, racked up 13 strikeouts over the two games, and earned the complete game victory in game two. Kiley Kross hit a home run and drove in a pair in the finale to lead PC at the plate.

On the Horizon...
Following its doubleheader against SC State, the Blue Hose continue their five-game homestand with a three-game set against Charleston Southern. The series will mark the first Big South Conference home games for Presbyterian in nearly 700 days.

Quick Hits...
- In Saturday's doubleheader at USC Upstate, Rebecca Clark and Katelyn Petty each had a two-RBI game, the first multi-RBI game of their respective collegiate careers.
- Courtney White's first-inning double on Sunday against Upstate was the 24th of her Blue Hose career, tying her for sixth in PC's DI era (since 2008) program record book.
