CLINTON, S.C.. – The Presbyterian College baseball team used a complete game from freshman Charlie McDaniel's en route to a 2-1 victory over Charleston Southern on Friday afternoon at the PC Baseball Complex.

- Freshman Charlie McDaniel earned the victory on Friday afternoon spinning his first collegiate complete game in just his third career start. The Sanford, Fla. native allowed just one run and six hits to earn his first career win.
- McDaniel faced one batter over the minimum over the final five innings to earn the series-opening victory.
- McDaniel's complete game was the Blue Hose first since May 17, 2019, when Jackson Dean spun a complete game against Charleston Southern.
- Brody Fahr led the Blue Hose offense with a pair of hits in the contest, while Chris Veach, Sean Klein, Jake Wyandt, and Kyle Decker each added a base hit to their stat lines.
- Veach now has base hits in all 10 games of his collegiate career.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- CSU got on the board first in the fourth inning with a fielder's choice allowing a run to score and giving the Bucs a 1-0 advantage.
- The Blue Hose responded in the sixth with an RBI single from Veach to even the game at a run apiece.
- Three batters later, PC took advantage of a throwing error from the Bucs shortstop to allow Veach to score and give Presbyterian a 2-1 lead they wouldn't relinquish the rest of the game.
