Lacrosse Splits Season Series with Wofford

Clinton, SC - The Presbyterian College women's lacrosse team fell to Wofford on Wednesday afternoon, 17-13. The Terriers used a late 5-0 run to pull away and split the season series 1-1. Abby Edmisten scored a collegiate-best five goals in the setback. Wofford's Elisabeth Ralph was the leading scorer with eight goals on 14 shots.

Scoring The Game
Neither team could establish more than a two-goal lead in the first half as PC held a slight lead, 8-7, after 30 minutes. Wofford's Ralph had five goals, and PC's Sarah Marshall had five points (4g, 1a) in the first half.

After a 4-1 run by Wofford gave them a 11-10 lead with 20:10 to play, Edmisten scored back-to-back goals to give PC a 12-11 lead with 11:17 left. That's when the Terriers rattled off five unanswered to break the game open, 16-12. Edmisten's fifth goal came with 90 second remaining to make it 16-13. Wofford's Ally Furnani closed the scoring with her fourth of the game with 23 seconds left to give the final score, 17-13.
