PC Welcomes UNC Asheville for Senior Day

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team opens its final stretch of matches in the 2021 spring on Thursday with a 1 p.m. match against UNC Asheville in Clinton at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

MATCHUP:  UNC Asheville (5-6, 2-2 Big South) vs. Presbyterian (4-10, 3-0 Big South)
TIME: Thursday April 1, 2 pm
LOCATION: Templeton Tennis Courts (Clinton, S.C.)

COACH ROBERTS ON THURSDAY'S MATCH
"After a week off from competing we are looking forward to hosting UNC Asheville," commented head coach Joel Roberts. "It will be another great opportunity for our team and I know they will be ready. It will also be a great day for senior day."

SCHEDULE CHANGES
- PC is slated to make up its match with Campbell that was originally scheduled for March 28th on April 8th at 1 pm in Clinton. The match was originally postponed due to weather in the Clinton area.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- UNC Asheville sits at 5-6 overall on the spring following a tight 4-3 defeat against Radford on Saturday.
- Ami Grace Dougah leads Asheville in singles play this spring with a 9-2 overall record including an 8-2 mark at No. 2 singles. Lize Alet Morkel is also at 9-2 with an 8-2 record at No. 1 singles.
- Dougah and Rosie Dickson lead the doubles side for the Bulldogs with a 6-2 record at No. 1 doubles.
- UNC Asheville and PC have met 14 prior times with the Bulldogs winning 10 of those meeting including most recent meeting in the 2019 Big South Championship. PC has won the prior two regular season meetings in the series.

LAST TIME OUT
- In the Blue Hose last on-court action, The Presbyterian College women's tennis team improved to 3-0 in Big South play on Tuesday with a 5-2 victory over Radford at the Radford Tennis Complex.
- It's the Blue Hose longest Big South win streak since 2019 when PC won six straight league match en route to a 7-2 overall league record.

UP NEXT
- PC hits the road for the final time in the regular season on Tuesday, April 6, with a 1 pm match at Charleston Southern.
