Notes

Last Time Out...
Presbyterian is coming off of its first Big South Conference series victory of the season, having taken two out of three last weekend against Charleston Southern. The Blue Hose got a combined five RBI's from Lexi Palazzo and Jaiden Tweed on Saturday as PC swept a twin bill 2-1 and 4-1. CSU then came back the next day to earn an 8-0 shutout victory in the series finale. Saturday's victories over Charleston Southern snapped a six-game losing streak for the Blue Hose in the series against the Buccaneers, and clinched PC's first season series win over CSU since 2017.

Dynamic Duo...
Led by the starting pitching duo of Jenna Greene and Haley Haselden, Presbyterian boasts the top ERA in the Big South at 2.82 and the lowest opponents' batting average in the league at .228. Both pitchers earned complete game victories in Saturday's doubleheader sweep of CSU and rank in the top-5 in the Big South in ERA, with Haselden second at 2.55 and Greene fourth at 2.72. Greene also owns the top strikeout rate in the conference, having fanned 47 batters in 36.0 innings for a rate of 9.14/7.

Road Warriors...
This weekend's series begins a six-game road trip for Presbyterian. The Blue Hose are slated to be on the road for much of the month of April, as 13 of the team's contests will be away from home. PC is 2-5 away from home so far in 2021.

Scouting the Runnin' Bulldogs...
Gardner-Webb was swept at home by Radford last weekend in a series which saw the Runnin' Bulldogs limited to just two runs over the course of the three games. GWU has struggled offensively throughout the season thus far, having been held to a league-low .178 batting average and 1.7 runs/game. Big South Preseason Pitcher of the Year Brooke Perry has made 10 starts for a Gardner-Webb staff that has also struggled, owning the highest ERA in the conference so far this season at 6.63. GWU has won seven of the last eight meetings between the two schools, and has won four straight series against PC. The Blue Hose last series victory against the Runnin' Bulldogs came in 2015, when Presbyterian took two out of three in Clinton.
