FARMVILLE, Va. – The Presbyterian College baseball team used the power of junior Eric Toth's bat who connected on his fifth home run of the spring in game one and totaled six RBI's on Saturday to earn the Presbyterian College baseball team a doubleheader sweep by the score of 10-9 in 10 innings and 6-5 in 9 innings at Buddy Bolding Stadium.

NOTABLES
- Toth led the Blue Hose in game one with a 3-for-5 day at the plate which included a double and his team-high fifth home run of the spring. He picked up three strikeouts in relief pitching the 10th inning for his second save of the season.
- Zacchaeus Rasberry also added three hits and three RBI's in the game one victory. Rasberry picked up his fourth double of the year as a part of those three hits.
- Chris Veach added two base hits in the contest and earned his first win of the year on the mound in the opening game on Saturday.
- Duncan Howard matched his career-high with 6.0 innings pitched but didn't factor into the decision of game one.
- In game two, PC was the home team for the seven-inning contest as game two served as a makeup for the postponed series in Clinton on March 12-13.
- Veach, Toth, Landon Shaw, and Brody Fahr led the offensive attack with two hits apiece.
- Game two starter Alex Flood tossed a career-high five innings while matching his career-high with four strikeouts but didn't factor into the extra-inning decision.
- Peyton Knight pitched the final 2.2 innings not allowing an earned run and striking out a pair for his first win as a member of the Blue Hose.
- Over the four-game series, Veach paced the offense with a .389 average, while Toth hit .353 with a double, home run, and six runs knocked in.
- Rasberry knocked in a team-high seven RBI's in the series.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Longwood got on the board first in the second inning with a solo home run to get the early 1-0 lead.
- PC quickly answered in the third inning with an RBI double from Rasberry which was quickly followed up by Toth's three-run home run to give PC the 4-1 advantage.
- The hosts answered with a two-run double and RBI single in their half of the third to even the score at four.
- Longwood picked up an RBI single in the sixth to take a 5-4 lead.
- Rasberry responded in the seventh with an RBI single of his own to even the game back at five.
- PC broke the tie in the eighth with a sacrifice fly from Brody Fahr to give the Blue Hose a 6-5 lead after 7.5 innings.
- The Blue Hose extended the lead in the ninth on a Lancer error to take the 7-5 advantage.
- Longwood answered with two runs in the ninth to force the 10th inning.
- The extra-inning rule placing a runner at second base went into effect in the 10th and PC took full advantage with RBI singles from Rasberry and Veach before a Toth sac fly gave PC the 10-7 edge.
- Longwood added two in its half of the 10th but Toth held off the last charge with the Blue Hose earning a 10-9 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- Longwood got on the board in the fifth with a two-run double to give the Lancers the 2-0 lead.
- PC got on the board in the fifth with a fielder's choice to cut the lead in half at 2-1.
- The Lancers extended the lead in the seventh with a two-run double to push the advantage out to 4-1.
- Presbyterian scored three times in the home half of the seventh capped by a two-run single from Toth to force extras in game two.
- Both teams traded RBI singles in the eighth inning before PC ended it in the home half of the ninth with a Veach RBI double to give the Blue Hose the 6-5 walk off win.
