Notes

Last Time Out...
Presbyterian took one out of three at Radford this past weekend in its final Big South Conference road series of the regular season. The Blue Hose blasted four home runs in the series opener on their way to an 11-7 victory over the Highlanders. In game two, Haley Haselden took a no-hitter into the sixth inning, but Presbyterian came out on the wrong end of a 1-0 contest. Radford then took the rubber match, 8-0, on Saturday to claim the series victory.

Bombs Away...
The Blue Hose launched four home runs in this past weekend's series-opening victory at Radford, tying a DI era team record for a single game. In the fourth inning of that contest, Lath Freeman and Layna Johnson hit back-to-back homers, the first time the Blue Hose had hit back-to-back home runs since 2016. PC's season-high 11 runs in the contest came on 18 hits, the second-highest single-game hit total of the program's DI era.

Home Sweet Home...
With its final Big South road series of the regular season out of the way, five of PC's final seven games will be at home, with two against Furman and a three-game set against league-leading Campbell next weekend. Presbyterian is hitting 50 points higher at home (.262) than it is away (.212), and its ERA is more than a run lower in its home ballpark (2.14) than on its travels (3.51). The Blue Hose are 9-4 at home this season.

Scouting the Paladins...
Furman split its latest Southern Conference series over the weekend against Chattanooga and sits in third place in the conference standings. The Paladins' offense is led by Mackense Greico, who is fourth in the SoCon in batting average at .355, and ranks second in the league with 30 runs batted in. In the circle, Sierra Tufts owns a 4.04 ERA and has collected a team-high seven wins. Furman is 3-2 against Big South opponents so far this season.

Quick Hits...
- Courtney White picked up the 25th double of her PC career on Friday at Radford, tying her for fifth in the DI era record book.
- Righty Sara Shaw tossed a pair of scoreless frames to close out the win over the Highlanders and earn her first collegiate save.
