Three First Half Goals Lead Blue Hose Past Bulldogs

Clinton, S.C. – PC got out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes and held off a charge in the second half from UNC Asheville to pick up a 3-2 win on Saturday night from Martin Stadium. Phillimon Bedard-Khalid, Daniel Anani and Luke Gladden tallied goals for PC on Saturday night.

How It Happened
- PC got the offense going early with a goal in the sixth minute from Bedard-Khalid to put PC on top early 1-0.
- Anani extended the Blue Hose lead in the 15th minute to 2-0.
- In the 44th minute, Bedard-Khalid served it up to Gladden for his first collegiate goal and gave PC the 3-0 halftime lead.
- Taylor Durall got the Bulldogs on the board in the 63rd minute to cut the PC advantage to 3-1.
- UNC Asheville continued the pressure with a goal in the 74th minute from Izzy Garcia to cut the Blue Hose lead to 3-2.
- Asheville was not able to finish the comeback as PC hung on for the 3-2 win on Saturday night.

By the Numbers
- PC outshot UNC Asheville 8-7 overall but the Bulldogs had a 4-3 edge in shots on goal.
- The guests had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks with five of those corners coming in the second half.
- Anani and Bedard-Khalid both had two shots with a goal for each of them in the match.
