Bane Scores in Defeat at High Point

High Point, N.C. – Kristen Bane picked up her first goal of the spring in the opening minutes of Saturday's match but the host High Point tallied a pair of second half goals which would turn out to be the difference as the Panthers earned a 3-1 victory at Vert Stadium.

How It Happened
- Bane got the Blue Hose on the board in the third minute off of a corner kick set up by Kori Lawrence to push PC to the early 1-0 lead.
- In the 25th minute, Sam Gerhart scored for High Point and tied the match at one.
- Gerhart tallied her second goal of the match in the 54th minute to push the Panthers in front 2-1.
- High Point added a goal in the 85th minute that gave the hosts a 3-1 victory on Saturday afternoon.

By the Numbers
- High Point outshot the Blue Hose 19-9 with an 8-6 edge in shots on goal.
- The Panthers took two of the three corners in the match overall.
- Lawrence led the Blue Hose with two shots as one of those was on frame. PC totaled six shots on frame with Bane's goal leading the way.
- Megan Serrano totaled five saves in the match.
