Blue Hose Look to Remain Unbeaten in League Play at CSU

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team wraps up its road league schedule on Tuesday with an afternoon matchup against Charleston Southern at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center. Tuesday's match features the only two remaining undefeated teams in the Big South for this spring.

"We are really looking forward to playing Charleston Southern tomorrow afternoon," commented head coach Joel Roberts. "It is another great opportunity in conference and I know the team is looking forward to the challenge."

SCOUTING THE BUCS
- Charleston Southern enters Tuesday's match with a 6-7 record and a perfect 4-0 Big South record following a tight 4-3 win on Saturday against Radford.
- The Bucs are led in singles play by Zoe Cauthen, Madalina Man and Khyanna Singh for who all sit with a 6-5 record in singles play. Michelle Schmitz is 6-6 this spring as well in singles play.
- Cauthen paired with Tiffany Pyritz in doubles is 7-3 overall as a duo with a 5-1 mark at No. 2 doubles.
- CSU has taken 12 of the 14 prior meetings from Presbyterian with the Blue Hose winning each of the last two meetings from the Bucs.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Presbyterian College women's tennis team remained unbeaten in Big South play on Thursday with a 6-1 victory over UNC Asheville at the Templeton Tennis Courts. Senior Samantha Calais clinched the match for the Blue Hose on senior day this afternoon.   

UP NEXT
- The Blue Hose wrap up the 2021 spring slate on Thursday afternoon with a 1 p.m. match against Campbell from the Templeton Tennis Courts. This match with the Camels was originally slated for March 28th but was postponed due to weather.
