Blue Hose Welcome Winthrop for Senior Day

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men's soccer team wraps up the 2021 spring slate on Thursday afternoon as the Blue Hose welcome in Winthrop to Marin Stadium for a 4 p.m. kickoff. Prior to kickoff, the Blue Hose will honor seniors Michael Wilson and Luca Ziegler.

Series History
- Winthrop and Presbyterian will meet on Thursday for the 15th time in the Blue Hose DI era with the Eagles holding a 9-4-1 all-time record in the series.
- PC won the most recent meeting from Winthrop in double overtime of the opening round of the Big South tournament by the score of 2-1 on a goal from Michael Wilson.

Scouting the Eagles
- Winthrop enters Thursday's match winless in eight contests after a 1-0 defeat last time out against Gardner-Webb.
- The Eagles are led offensively by Grayson Woodard with three goals and one assist in eight contests. Three other players have tallied a goal for the Eagles this spring.

Last Time Out
- PC got out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 45 minutes and held off a charge in the second half from UNC Asheville to pick up a 3-2 win on Saturday night from Martin Stadium. Phillimon Bedard-KhalidDaniel Anani and Luke Gladden tallied goals for PC on Saturday night.
- All three of PC's shots on frame resulted in a goal.
- Aidan Monture improved to 2-0 with the victory as he recorded a pair of saves.
 
Milestones Within Reach
- Despite the shortened spring season, the Blue Hose have a two players with the opportunity to climb ranks in the program record book this season. Ziegler's moved into a tie for first all-time in assists and now he needs just one more to set the program record. The senior must also log 375 minutes to jump into second or 870 minutes to eclipse the school record.
- Junior goalkeeper Valentin Kliebe with his next win would move into a tie for second in program history for victories
