Tennis Hosts Campbell to Finish Regular Season Slate

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team wraps up its 2021 regular season slate on Thursday in a match with Campbell set for 1 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

MATCHUP: Campbell (2-8, 0-3 Big South) vs Presbyterian (5-11, 4-1 Big South)  
TIME: Thursday April 8, 1 pm
LOCATION: Templeton Tennis Courts (Clinton, S.C.)

COACH ROBERTS ON THURSDAY's MATCH
"We are ready for a bounce back performance tomorrow against Campbell," commented head coach Joel Roberts. "We are glad to be back home to finish off the regular season. I know Campbell is a good team and our team will be ready to play."
 
SCOUTING THE CAMELS
- Campbell enters Thursday's match with a 2-8 record following a 4-3 setback against UNC Wilmington last time out.
- Anna-Marie Kopecka and Ana Castillo lead the Camels in singles with five wins apiece. Mariana Ossa has four singles wins this spring as well.
- Kopecka and Castillo are the top doubles team for the Camels sitting with a 6-3 record at No. 1 doubles.
- Campbell has won seven of the eight meetings from the Blue Hose in PC's DI era with Presbyterian winning the most recent match by the score of 4-3 in March of 2019.

LAST TIME OUT
- Freshman Lucianna Piedra earned a singles victory on Tuesday as the Presbyterian College women's tennis team dropped its first league match of the spring by the score of 6-1 at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center.
