HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team used a season-high 16 hits combined with a four-run tenth to take game one over High Point on Saturday at Williard Stadium by the score of 13-11 in 10 innings. The Blue Hose finished the sweep in the nightcap with a 10-6 victory over the Panthers.

- PC had four players in game one record three hits which included Sean Klein, Kyle Merkle along with Kyle Decker, and Brody Fahr. Decker and Fahr each totaled six hits in the twin bill.
- Decker and Fahr had three hits apiece in game two.
- In game one, Klein connected on a pair of homers in a game for the second time in a week as he accomplished the same feat a week ago against Gardner-Webb.
- Merkle added his third home run of the season in game one as well.
- In game two, Landon Shaw connected on his second homer of the season and Jake Wyandt hit his third long ball of the season.
- Klein matched his season-high with four runs knocked in during game one.
- Kyle Benson earned the victory in game one going the final 4.1 innings and allowing one earned run while striking out a pair. Benson's 4.1 innings pitched matches a career-high for the senior in a Blue Hose uniform.
- Eric Toth totaled a season-high five strikeouts in game two to record his sixth save of the season.
- With his sixth save on Saturday, Toth tied Ethan Wortkoetter for fifth in the DI record book with six saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE
- High Point got on the board first with a three-run frame using five singles to get out to the early 3-0 advantage.
- PC answered in the second with a Wyandt RBI double to cut the lead down to 3-1.
- The Blue Hose were not done as a two-run single from Fahr evened the game back up at three after 1.5 innings.
- In the fifth, Klein connected a two-run homer before a Merkle solo shot gives PC a 6-3 lead after 4.5.
- High Point responded with a two-run double in its half of the fifth to cut it to 6-5 after five innings.
- Fahr extended the Blue Hose lead in the sixth with an RBI single to push it to 7-5.
- The hosts responded with three runs in their half of the frame to jump out in front by the score of 8-7.
- In this back and forth game, Klein opened the seventh with his second home run of the game to even the game back at eight to begin the seventh inning.
- Presbyterian jumped back in front with a sacrifice fly from Wyandt to give the Blue Hose a 9-8 advantage.
- High Point evened it right back at nine in the home half of the seventh.
- After both teams were held scoreless in the eighth and ninth, PC plated four runs in the 10th off of a wild pitch and an error from High Point to take a 13-9 lead.
- High Point added two runs in the tenth before Benson shut the door to earn PC the game one win by the score of 13-11.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO
- Toth got the Blue Hose out to a 1-0 lead with an RBI single before a sac fly from Rasberry put PC up 2-0 after half an inning.
- High Point picked up an RBI double in the first to make it 2-1 after an inning.
- Shaw connected on a solo home run in the second to extend the advantage to 3-1.
- The Panthers tied it up in the fourth with a two-run homer to tie it at three.
- In the seventh, PC took advantage of three High Point errors to plate five runs and take an 8-3 lead. Wyandt connected on a two-run shot in the inning to extend the lead to 10-3.
- High Point added a solo home run in its half of the seventh.
- The Panthers continued to chip away at the Blue Hose lead in the eighth with a two-run single to cut the deficit to four, 10-6. Toth wouldn't let it get any closer as he finished off his sixth save of the season to finish off a three-game sweep of the Panthers.
