Notes

Last Time Out...
With its doubleheader at Furman scheduled for earlier this week canceled, Presbyterian has not played since falling in both ends of a home twin bill against the Paladins, 5-2 and 2-0, on April 28. Furman jumped out to an early 5-0 edge in the opener of the double dip, with PC's offense limited to solo home runs by Kiley Kross and Jaiden Tweed. Game two remained scoreless until the fourth, when the Paladins scratched across a two-out run. The visitors then added an insurance tally in the sixth. The Blue Hose brought the tying run to the plate in the sixth and seventh frames, but were turned away on both occasions by the Paladins.

Greene Racking up the K's...
In her start against Furman last week, PC right-hander Jenna Greene struck out 10, her fourth double-digit strikeout effort of the season. It was the 18th double-digit performance by a Blue Hose in the program's DI era (since 2008), nine of which belong to Greene. The sophomore owns five of the top-6 single-game strikeout performances in Presbyterian's DI era and currently ranks fifth in career strikeouts in the DI era with 224.

Scouting the Camels...
Campbell enters the final weekend of the regular season atop the Big South standings at 14-1 in league play, two games ahead of USC Upstate. The Camels boast four regulars hitting over .310 and own the second-best team batting average in the conference at .288. Destini England's .376 batting average ranks second in the league, Bri Bryant's .368 mark is fourth and Claudia Ware's .354 average is sixth. Campbell also owns the best ERA in the Big South at 2.74, with Megan Richards' 1.96 earned run average topping the league and Georgeanna Barefoot's 2.57 ERA fourth.

Pitchers' Duel...
This weekend's series between the Blue Hose and Camels features the top-2 pitching staffs in the Big South. Campbell tops the conference with a 2.74 ERA, with PC in second at 2.89. In terms of opponents' batting average, the two teams are flipped, with the Blue Hose leading the way at .216 and CU second at .242.
