How it Happened – Match One
- Presbyterian got out to a 7-3 lead in the first set, but Bethune-Cookman fought back to even the score at 9-9. A 5-1 run helped PC move back in front, 15-11. BCU responded with eight of the next 11 points to creep ahead, 19-18. Down 20-19, the Blue Hose closed out the frame on a 6-0 run, which included a pair of aces from Bailey, to take the first set, 25-20.
- The second set was tight early, with neither team grabbing a lead of more than two until the Wildcats used a 4-1 spurt to climb in front, 11-8. Presbyterian answered right back to even the frame at 11-11, but BCU once again built a three-point edge at 15-12. From there, the Blue Hose took over, using a 13-3 surge to pull away and take the set, 25-18.

- Presbyterian ripped off five straight points to go up 8-4 in early in the first set. Coppin State got right back in it with a 7-1 surge to take a 12-10 lead. Four in a row from PC briefly put the Blue Hose on top, 14-12, but CSU again had an answer, putting together an 8-3 stretch to open up a 20-17 edge.
