Blue Hose Finish Fall Opener at Asheville

ASHVILLE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women's tennis team opened the fall season this weekend with matches against Montreat, UNC Asheville and Western Carolina as a part of the Emily McNall Classic.

NOTABLES
- In the Blue Hose match against Montreat, PC was led by Claudia Sanchez and Lucianna Piedra who earned wins in both singles and doubles matches as the duo was paired together in the doubles match.
- Madison Dennett and Valentina De Sousa added a doubles win against Montreat as well over the weekend. Beth Lacey earned a straight-set singles win
- Dennett earned a singles win in the Blue Hose matchup with UNC Asheville.
- PC also faced off with the Catamounts from Western Carolina and were led in the match by Jessica Leeman who earned a singles and doubles victory.
- Sanchez, Piedra and Lacey also got in the win column during doubles play against WCU.

UP NEXT
- PC returns to the courts on Saturday, October 2 when the Blue Hose head to the WCU Invite.
