Roberts Adds Two to Signing Class

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College and head women's tennis coach Joel Roberts announced that Claire Giddings (Milton, Ga.) and McKenzie Davis (Florence, S.C.) will join the Blue Hose next fall.
 
"I am super excited about this class and the addition of McKenzie and Claire," said Coach Roberts, who just began his third season as head coach of the women's tennis team. "They are both great players and even better people. I know they are pumped to join the Blue Hose family and we can't wait for them to get here in August. They will help make our program better!"
 
McKenzie Davis – 5-11 – Florence, S.C./Trinity Collegiate
Prior to PC: Attended Trinity Collegiate… has been an All-State honoree since seventh grade… SCISA 3a Player of the Year during her eighth grade year… All-Region honoree… part of 2018 State Championship… part of National Honor Society…

Personal: Daughter of Vicki and Anthony Davis… Chose PC because it felt like home… intends to major in biology and wants to get into occupational therapy after college…
 
Claire Giddings – 5-7 – Milton, Ga./Cambridge High School
Prior to PC: Attended Cambridge High School… Named to Indiana National Tournament Doubles Champion… Named Southern Champion… Third Place in doubles… Georgia National Tournament Singles Champion… Two-time region champion… Two-time state champion… Co-Captain during her junior year… was undefeated all three years of high school tennis… earned MVP award and nominated by coaches to go to a team athlete leading event… was a four-year Cambridge scholar athlete award winner…

Personal:  Daughter of Pam and Derek Giddings… Chose PC because of the school's atmosphere and the connections you feel around campus with the students and teachers. When I stepped on the campus I could see that teachers cared about their students and everyone had each others back… she intends to major in business data analytics and wants to be a data analyst for Chick Fil A after college…
