DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose had three players score in double-figures but the Blue Hose (1-5) lost to the UAlbany Great Danes (3-4), 68-65, in the final game of the Greenlight Sunshine Slam at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Winston Hill nearly recorded a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Terrell Ard, Jr. scored 14 points and
Marquis Barnett chipped in with 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – The Blue Hose began the game by scoring six of the first eight points behind free throws by Barnett and
Owen McCormack and a jumper in the lane from
Trevon Reddish-Rhone. UAlbany cut the Blue Hose lead to one point, 8-7, with 16:42 on the clock. Then, the Blue Hose behind four straight points from Ard pushed their lead to 12-7 just a minute later. With 9:34 on the clock, a layup by
Kobe Stewart gave the Blue Hose their largest lead of the half at 23-14. Â Presbyterian maintained a lead for the next five minutes. Then, with 4:08 on the clock, UAlbany scored inside giving the Great Danes their first lead of the game, 32-31. PC regained the lead after a layup by Barnett with 3:24 left in the half. With 55 seconds on the clock, UAlbany tied the score at 37. Ard scored inside with nine seconds left in the half pushing the Blue Hose back in front. UAlbany's Jonathan Beagle connected on a three from the wing giving the Great Danes a 40-39 halftime lead.

SECOND HALF – A layup from
Crosby James and a free throw by Reddish-Rhone gave the Blue Hose a 42-40 lead just over a minute into the half. UAlbany scored, retaking the lead. A layup by Reddish-Rhone and a dunk by Ard gave the Blue Hose a 46-43 two and a half minutes into the half. UAlbany tied the score on a three and then Barnett's layup pushed the Blue Hose back in front, 48-46. UAlbany scored seven straight points taking a 53-48 lead at the 10:35 mark. PC scored six of the next eight points cutting UAlbany's lead to 55-54 after a layup by James at the 7:48 mark. At the 4:08 mark, UAlbany had moved in front by the score of 63-54. Presbyterian with six points from Hill and a free throw from Reddish-Rhone cut UAlbany's lead to 63-61 with 3:18 on the clock. Presbyterian would get within one point after a layup by
Jalen Forrest with 12 seconds on the clock. UAlbany converted on two free throws pushing their lead to three points. Presbyterian was not able to convert on their three-point field goal attempt in the final seconds.

- Presbyterian's defense held UAlbany without a field goal for the final 4:08 of the game.
- The Blue Hose scored 44 points in the paint which is their second-highest points in the paint total this season.
- Presbyterian scored 26 points off the bench.
- Barnett tallied his ninth double-digit scoring game of the season with his 10 points.
- Hill's 14 points marked his 31st career double-figures scoring game.
- Ard tallied his fourth career double-figure scoring game with his 14 points performance.
