Parking
Due to the construction of the Multipurpose Athletics Facility, the John McIntosh Athletic Center, the gravel lot adjacent to the Templeton Center will be closed for the entire 2022-23 season. Parking for athletic events in Templeton will be along Ashland Avenue (in front of Templeton), in the parking lot behind the Carol International House (off Maple Street), and in the parking lot for the Harper Art Gallery (on Fifth Avenue). Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to find available parking in these locations in order to avoid missing any action inside the Templeton Center.

NOTES
COACH FERRELL
Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.

PRESEASON ALL-BIG SOUTH
Senior forward Winston Hill was voted Preseason Second Team All-Big South. Last season, Hill finished fourth in the Big South Conference in rebounding averaging 6.5 boards per game. He tallied three double-figure rebounds games while grabbing at least six boards in 21 games. In the 2021-22 season, he averaged 12.2 points per game while recording 17 double-figure scoring games. 

OPENING THE SEASON IN TEMPLETON
For only the third time in Presbyterian's Division I era, the Blue Hose begin the season with a home game. The last time that happened, Presbyterian collected a 73-71 home win over Furman on November 11, 2016. The Blue Hose defeated Montreat at home, 103-83, in their 2011-12 season-opening game. Presbyterian is 13-1 in their home opening games while a member of Division I.

RETURNING LETTERWINNERS 
The Blue Hose return four starters and eight letterwinners off last season's team. Seniors forward Winston Hill (12.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg), guard Trevon Reddish-Rhone (8.9 ppg, 2.8 apg), and forward Owen McCormack (4.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg), junior guard Kobe Stewart (5.3 ppg, 3.3 rpg), and sophomores guard Marquis Barnett (5.8 ppg, 2.6 rpg) and forward Terrell Ard, Jr. (4.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg) headline the Blue Hose returners. Senior forward Jack McMahon and sophomore guard James Lovorn round out the Blue Hose returning letterwinners. Redshirt freshman forward Porter Stanley returns to the Blue Hose roster after redshirting last season.

NEWCOMERS 
Joining the returners are six newcomers: junior guard Crosby James, who transferred from Anderson University, and freshmen guards AJ CookJalen ForrestHouston JonesQuadir Pettaway, and forward Jaylen Peterson.

2022-23 HOME SCHEDULE 
Presbyterian plays 14 home games this season highlighted by non-conference home games against the College of Charleston, Elon, and VMI. With 10 teams in the Big South, the 18-game league schedule is a true round-robin schedule with every team playing each other home and away.

SCOUTING CAROLINA UNIVERSITY
The Bruins recorded an 85-69 win over Morris College at home in their season opener on Tuesday, November 1. Junior guard Ethan Bell scored a team-high 19 points while connecting on five three-point field goals. Sophomore guard Cameron Buchanan knocked down five three-point field goals for 15 points. Sophomore forward Amarie Elijah-Kirby tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Last season, the Bruins finished with a record of 22-7 which included an 8-2 road record.
