In a game that went back and forth, the Blue Hose battled the College of Charleston Cougars down to the wire before coming up short in a 67-62 loss at the Templeton Center this past Tuesday.
Winston Hill paced all scorers with 19 points while shooting 7-for-11 from the field.
Marquis Barnett scored 14 points.
Trevon Reddish-Rhone scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Kobe Stewart scored seven points and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench.

James, who has scored in double-figures in six of Presbyterian's ten games, leads the Blue Hose in scoring averaging 10.5 points per game. Barnett averages 9.8 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game. Hill is third on the team in scoring averaging 9.7 points per game and rebounding averaging 4.3 boards per game.
Jalen Forrest is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 8.4 points per game.

BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – On November 28, Forrest was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week this week. Forrest was the ninth player in the program's history to garner Big South Freshman of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian is averaging 11.80 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have recorded six double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University - November 7, at The Citadel - November 10, at East Carolina - November 12, at UAB, November 16, vs. Bucknell - November 21, and VMI – November 29). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 18 offensive boards against Carolina University.

COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.

Sunday's game marks the 41
st meeting between Presbyterian and South Carolina, which leads the all-time series 32-8. South Carolina defeated Presbyterian, 76-60, at home in their previous meeting on December 29, 2012. Jordan Downing scored 19 points and Khalid Mutakabbir scored 17 points and dished out four assists in that game.
SCOUTING SOUTH CAROLINA
South Carolina coach Lamont Paris is in his first season at the helm of the Gamecocks program. South Carolina has tallied wins over South Carolina State, Clemson, USC Upstate, and Georgetown this season. Freshman forward GG Jackson leads South Carolina in scoring at 17 points and rebounding at 7.5 boards per game. Senior guard Chico Carter is second on the team in scoring, chipping in 12.7 points per game. Graduate senior forward Hayden Brown averages 11.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
