Scoring the Game
- Florida State jumped out to the fast start with a 5-0 burst in the opening minute before Bryanna Brady got the Blue Hose on the board with a layup. FSU used a 12-2 over the next five minutes to extend its lead to 17-4 and force the Blue Hose to call a timeout with 2:35 left in the opening quarter. The hosts kept the pressure on PC with eight straight points in the final two minutes to take a 25-4 lead after one quarter.
- The Seminoles continued to keep their momentum going in the second quarter with the first eight points before Aubrie Kierscht's three broke the hosts' run. The Blue Hose used buckets from Núria Cunill and Paige Kindseth to cut it to 37-12 before an 8-2 run over the final three minutes gave Florida State a 45-14 lead at the break.
- Florida State came out of the break with seven unanswered points to force the Blue Hose to an early timeout with 8:18 to play in the third quarter. The Blue Hose chipped away at the Seminoles lead with a 7-4 run before a 15-5 burst from the hosts over the final five minutes gave them a 71-26 edge headed to the fourth quarter.
- The Seminoles used a 12-3 run over the first five minutes of the fourth quarter as they would go on to earn the non-conference win from the Blue Hose on Thursday night in Tallahassee.

- Kindseth led the Blue Hose with seven points and a team-high nine rebounds as the Blue Hose sophomore pulled down five of those on the offensive end of the court. The sophomore's five offensive boards set a new career-high for Kindseth. Cunill added six points and seven rebounds in the contest. Laila Grant and Mara Neira each had a pair of assists to lead the Blue Hose. Ta'Niya Latson led Florida State with 25 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 6-of-7 at the charity stripe, and a team-high eight steals. Brianna Turnage added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with a pair of blocks. Makayla Timpson had 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting, nine rebounds, and three blocks.

- PC shot 25.9% (15-of-58) from the field as Florida State recorded a 43.4% (33-of-76) performance from the floor on Thursday. FSU connected on 10 threes compared to five from the Blue Hose. The Seminoles connected on 22-of-32 at the line as the Blue Hose made both of their chances. FSU controlled the glass by the margin of 13, 52-39, including a 21-11 edge on the offensive glass. Florida State had a slight 13-8 advantage in assists. The hosts scored 48 points off the Blue Hose 34 turnovers and had an 18-2 edge in second-chance points.
