Behind four double-figure scorers led by Jalen Forrest's 15 points, the Presbyterian Blue Hose defeated the Allen Yellow Jackets, 90-70, in their final non-conference game at the Templeton Center on December 19.
 
Forrest was 6-for-6 from the free throw line while scoring his game-high 15 points. Kobe Stewart scored 12 points. Houston Jones scored 11 points while connecting on two three-point field goals. Quadir Pettaway scored 10 points while shooting 4-for-4 from the field.
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Winston Hill, who will miss the rest of the season due to season-ending hip surgery, leads the Blue Hose in scoring averaging 10.6 points per game. Crosby James, who has scored in double-figures six times, is second on the team in scoring averaging 9.8 points per game. Marquis Barnett averages 9.3 points per game and a team-leading 5.5 rebounds per game. Jalen Forrest is tied with Barnett for third on the team in scoring averaging 9.3 points per game. Terrell Ard, Jr. is second on the team in rebounding averaging 5.2 boards per game. Ard averages 6.5 points per game. Trevon Reddish-Rhone averages 7.2 points while dishing out a team-leading 2.5 assists per game. Owen McCormack averages 7.5 points while connecting on 16 three-point field goals this season.
 
NOTES
BENCH POINTS - Presbyterian behind the double-figure scoring performances from Jalen Forrest, Houston Jones, Quadir Pettaway, and Kobe Stewart off the bench in the win over Allen (December 19, 2022), the Blue Hose scored a season-high 58 bench points. This marked the most bench points scored by the Blue Hose since tallying 67 bench points in a home win over UNC Asheville on March 5, 2019. In the 2018-19 season, the Blue Hose recorded four games with at least 51 bench points.
 
DOUBLE-FIGURE TREYS - The Blue Hose connected on a season-high 11 three-point field goals in the win over Elon on December 15. Presbyterian's 11 three-point field goals made is the most threes made by the Blue Hose since connecting on 11 threes in a win over Truett-McConnell on December 30, 2021.
 
OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS - This season, Presbyterian averages 11.54 offensive boards per game. The Blue Hose have recorded eight double-figure offensive rebounds games (Carolina University - November 7, at The Citadel - November 10, at East Carolina - November 12, at UAB, November 16, vs. Bucknell - November 21, VMI - November 29, Elon - December 15 and Allen - December 19). The Blue Hose grabbed a season-high 18 offensive boards against Carolina University.
 
BIG SOUTH FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK – On November 28, Forrest was named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week this week. Forrest was the ninth player in the program's history to garner Big South Freshman of the Week honors.
 
SAME STARTING FIVE - Presbyterian has used the same starting lineup in each of its first 13 games. Guards Barnett, James, Reddish-Rhone, and forwards Ard, Jr., and McCormack have been the Blue Hose's starting lineup in every game this season.
 
DOUBLE-FIGURE SCORERS – Ten Presbyterian players have recorded at least one double-figure scoring game this season. Reddish-Rhone, McCormack, James, Forrest, Barnett, Hill, Ard, Jr., Jones, Pettaway, and Stewart have all tallied at least one double-figure scoring game this season.
 
COACH FERRELL - Quinton Ferrell is in his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater, Presbyterian College. Ferrell, a former Blue Hose team captain and a 2007 PC graduate, is one of 52 coaches in the NCAA Division I ranks that are coaching their alma maters.
 
PRESBYTERIAN- CAMPBELL SERIES
Thursday's game marks the 23rd meeting between Presbyterian and Campbell, who leads the all-time series, 16-6. In the previous meeting between the two teams, Campbell defeated Presbyterian, 75-72, in double overtime in the first round of last season's Big South Conference Tournament, on March 2, 2022. Hill scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Barnett scored 17 points and Reddish-Rhone contributed 12 points and seven rebounds to the Blue Hose's efforts in that game. Presbyterian, who has won the last three games against Campbell at home, defeated the Camels, 64-58, at home in their last regular-season meeting, on February 2, 2022.
 
SCOUTING CAMPBELL
The Camels have wins over St. Augustine's, Appalachian State, Kennesaw State, Stetson, and William Peace this season. Four Campbell players average double-figure points led by senior guard Ricky Clemons who averages 12.6 points per game. Senior forward Jay Pal leads the Camels and ranks third in the Big South Conference averaging 7.3 boards per game. Campbell averages 70.3 points per game while allowing their opponents to average 67.5 points per game.
