CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women's basketball team used a balanced scoring attack and the power of 13 threes to push past Radford on Saturday afternoon by a score of 78-65 inside the Templeton Center. Tilda Sjökvist led the Blue Hose with 21 points, nine assists, and five rebounds as Aubrie Kierscht scored a career-high 17 points connecting on five threes in the victory.

Scoring the Game
- The two teams traded early baskets, with the guests holding a 4-2 lead before a 7-0 run from the Blue Hose gave them a 9-4 lead at the 4:40 mark of the first quarter. The Highlanders answered out of the media break with an 8-3 run to even the game at 12 before Sjökvist tallied a late jumper to make it 14-12 after one quarter.
- After a Kierscht three early in the second quarter, the Highlanders scored five of the following six points to cut the Blue Hose lead to one, 18-17, with 6:02 to play in the half. PC answered with a 9-2 run over the next three minutes to push it to a 27-19 lead with 3:56 to play in the half leading to a Radford timeout. The Highlanders closed the half on a 13-4 run over the final three minutes to take a 32-31 lead at the half.
- In the second half, the two teams traded baskets in the opening four minutes before a 9-0 Blue Hose burst made it 47-39 with five minutes to play in the third quarter. After a Radford layup, the Blue Hose scored the next four points, pushing it to a 51-41 lead with 3:12 to play. The Highlanders scored seven of the final 11 points in the final 2:51 to cut it to a 55-48 score after three frames.
- Laila Grant connected on a quick three for the Blue Hose before a 6-2 Radford run cut it to a 60-54 Blue Hose lead, forcing a timeout from PC with 8:49 to play in the fourth. PC answered out of the timeout with a 5-0 burst to extend it to a 65-54 lead with 6:02 to play, forcing a Highlanders timeout. The Blue Hose used the three-pointer to push it back to 16 with threes from Christina Kline and Sjökvist as the Highlanders mounted a comeback, but late free throws from Sjökvist and Kierscht propelled PC to a 78-65 victory.

- Sjökvist led the Blue Hose as she tied her career-high with 21 points on 6-of-15 field goals and a team-high nine assists and grabbed five rebounds. Kierscht added 17 points off the bench, which included five made three-pointers, as Grant contributed with 12 points and five rebounds for the Blue Hose. Kline rounded out the double-figure scoring performance with 11 points on 3-of-5 from deep and added six rebounds. Bryanna Brady grabbed eight rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, to pace the Blue Hose. Ashlyn Traylor led the Highlanders with 20 points and nine rebounds as she shot 7-of-18 from the field. Rachel LaLonde added 15 points and eight rebounds as Vanessa Blake posed a stat line including 13 points and seven rebounds. Taylor and Ashley Panem led the Highlanders with four assists apiece.

- Sjökvist led the Blue Hose with her second 20+ point performance in the last three games as the Huskvarna, Sweden native totaled 21 points, dishing out nine assists, and pulled down five rebounds. She also matched her career-high with three steals to lead PC.
- In the last five games, Sjökvist leads PC with 13.4 points per game, a team-high 26 assists, and is shooting 44.4% from the field. She also has added eight steals in that stretch.
- Kierscht posted a new career-high on Saturday with 17 points making five threes in the victory. The five threes from the Blue Hose freshman also set a new career high for Kierscht.
- Grant added 12 points, matching her season-high with five rebounds.
- Kline had her fourth double-figure scoring game of the season with 11 points making three from beyond the arc as she pulled down six rebounds.
- As a team, the Blue Hose made 10+ threes for the second time in the last three games connecting on 13 on Saturday. PC is 2-0 when making 10+ triples.
