Blue Hose Drop Saturday Match at Wofford

Spartanburg, S.C.. –  Senior Zeba Jamal recorded a straight-set singles win on Saturday however the Presbyterian College women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Wofford at the Reeves Tennis Center.

"It was a tough one today as Wofford played pretty good across the board. We will forget about this one quickly and be ready for Elon tomorrow afternoon."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wofford got out to the early advantage with a 6-2 win at No. 1 doubles before a 6-4 victory at No. 3 doubles gave the hosts the early 1-0 lead.
- The hosts also grabbed a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles as well after already clinching the doubles point.
- The Terriers No. 1 singles pushed the lead to 2-0 with a straight-set victory before Wofford grabbed the 3-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
- Wofford used a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles to clinch the match on Saturday.
- The Terriers added a win at No.4 & 6 singles before Jamal grabbed a straight-set win of her own to lead the match to its final 6-1 margin.

UP NEXT
- The Blue Hose return to action on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. against Elon to conclude the weekend for Presbyterian.
