CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Behind three doubles and six singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (5-6) blanked the Queens Royals (2-1), 7-0, on the road.
DOUBLES
The Blue Hose swept the doubles matches to capture the doubles point. At number one doubles, Presbyterian's
Max Benson and
Dusan Milanovic, who are ranked 49
th in the ITA doubles rankings, tallied their sixth win of the season with a 6-4 victory. The tandem of
Sebastian Dominguez and
Javier Matos clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 6-3 win at number three doubles. At number two doubles, Presbyterian
Georgije Babic and
Nicholas McKinney completed the sweep for the Blue Hose with a 7-6 (7-1) win.
SINGLES
Presbyterian swept the six singles matches to claim the overall victory. Dominguez recorded his team-leading seventh win of the season with a straight-sets 6-3, 6-2 win at number three singles. At number five singles, McKinney tallied a straight-sets 6-2, 6-2 win. Presbyterian's Matos with another straight-sets Presbyterian win with a 6-3, 6-2 victory for his fifth win of the season. At number six singles, Babic also captured his fifth win of the season with a 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 win. At number two singles, Milanovic won in three hard-fought sets, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5. Benson completed the sweep with his 5-7, 7-6, 6-1 victory at number one singles for his fifth win of the season.
