Blue Hose Roll Past Mocs on the Road

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.  – Behind two doubles and six singles wins, the Presbyterian Blue Hose (6-6) rolled past the Chattanooga Mocs (3-7), 7-0, for their fourth straight win.
 
DOUBLES
The Blue Hose won two doubles matches to capture the doubles point for the sixth time this season. Max Benson and Dusan Milanovic got the Blue Hose going with a 6-3 win at number one doubles. Benson and Milanovic posted their seventh win of the season. The doubles tandem of Sebastian Dominguez and Javier Matos clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 6-3 win at number three doubles.
 
"In doubles, we executed perfectly what we had been working on in practice," Presbyterian coach John Collins said.
 
SINGLES
For the third straight match, the Blue Hose swept all six singles matches. At number five singles, Nicholas McKinney recorded his fourth win of the season with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Milanovic tallied his fifth win of the season with a 6-1, 6-4 victory at number two singles. At number six singles, Georgije Babic clinched the overall victory for the Blue Hose with a 7-5, 6-3 win for his sixth win. At number three singles, Matos collected his sixth victory of the season with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) decision. Dominguez recorded his team-leading eighth win of the season with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory at number four singles. Benson completed the singles sweep with a 6-7 (12-14), 7-6 (11-9), 1-0 (10-5) victory in a third-set super tiebreaker. The victory was Benson's sixth of the season.
 
"We won every singles match but they all had challenges to them," Collins said. "Every singles match, we had to dig in and out tough Chattanooga. I am very proud of our team for the toughness they displayed today in the road win."
