BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.  – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (6-7, Big South: 0-1) saw their four-match winning streak end with a 5-2 loss at the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs (7-7, Big South: 2-0) in their Big South Conference opener.

DOUBLES
The Blue Hose won two doubles matches to capture the doubles point for the seventh time this season. Presbyterian rallied to claim the doubles point after losing at number two doubles. At number three doubles,
Javier Matos and
Pedro Cardoso evened the doubles wins at one apiece with a 7-5 victory.
Max Benson and
Dusan Milanovic clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose with a 7-6 (7-2) win at number one doubles. Benson and Milanovic collected their eighth win of the season.

SINGLES
Gardner-Webb won five of the six singles matches to earn the overall victory. At number six singles, Presbyterian's
Teo Cariov played one of his best matches of the season with a 6-4, 6-2 win. Milanovic at number two, Matos at number three,
Nicholas McKinney at number four, and Cardoso at number five all lost tough hard-fought three-set matches.

Presbyterian hosts a doubleheader at the Templeton Tennis Courts this Sunday, March 6. The Blue Hose begin the day with a match against Mercer at 11 a.m. Then, Presbyterian plays Montreat College in the second match of the day at 4:30 p.m.
