CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team bounced back in a big way on Saturday recording a pair of wins over Manhattan at the PC Baseball Complex. The Blue Hose earned the 5-1 win in game one before a 4-2 victory in seven innings of game two to complete the sweep.

HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME ONE
- PC got on the board first with an RBI groundout off the bat of Dalton Reeves to push the Blue Hose out to the early 1-0 lead.
- Manhattan evened the score at one apiece with an RBI single in the third.
- In the sixth, Toth recorded his first home run of the year to give PC the tight 2-1 lead.
- Jack Gorman pushed the lead to 3-1 in the seventh with an RBI single.
- Presbyterian put the finishing touches on game one in the eighth with an RBI single from Sean Klein followed up by a sac fly from Brody Fahr to give PC the 5-1 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN GAME TWO
- Manhattan struck first in game two with an RBI double and RBI single to take the early 2-0 lead.
- The Blue Hose answered quickly in their half of the first with a sac fly from Chase Hughes and a fielder's choice off the bat of Chris Veach to even the game up at two.
- The Blue Hose added two in the bottom of third and used solid pitching down the stretch from Daniel Eagen and Eric Toth to complete the sweep with the 4-2 win in seven innings.
NOTABLES
- Gorman led the Blue Hose in the doubleheader with four hits including his second double of the season.
- Toth went 3-for-6 over the two games including his solo homer in game one.
- The Blue Hose used five arms on Saturday and limited the Jaspers to three earned runs over the 16 innings played at the PC Baseball Complex.
- Freshman Daniel Eagen got his first collegiate win on Saturday tossing 6.0 innings and recording six strikeouts on the afternoon.
- Senior Darien Rorabeck earned his first career win in game one on Saturday.
- Clark Dearman grabbed his first collegiate save as well in the game one victory.
