Jamal Records Win in Loss Against Davidson

CLINTON, S.C.. –  Senior Zeba Jamal earned a win in singles and doubles on Saturday but Davidson defeated the Presbyterian College women's tennis team 6-1 at the Templeton Tennis Courts.

"Tough one today. Davidson played a good match and we were right there. The team fought very hard and wants it bad. Quick turnaround to Georgia Southern tomorrow."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Davidson got the first match in doubles on Saturday with a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles before Zeba Jamal and Beth Lacey picked up a 6-4 win at No.3 doubles to setup the decisive match on court one.
- The Wildcats were able to win the first point on Saturday with a 7-6 (7-3) tiebreak at No. 1 doubles to open the match up 1-0.
- The guests earned three straight-set wins to clinch the match at the No.1 spot on Saturday afternoon.
- After a straight-set win at No. 4 singles, Jamal recorded a third set tiebreak win at No. 2 singles.
- Davidson got the third set tiebreak at No. 6 for the final 6-1 on Saturday.

- The Blue Hose have a quick turnaround with a 10 a.m. first serve tomorrow morning at Georgia Southern.
