HOW IT HAPPENED
- UNCW got the early advantage in doubles with a 6-2 win at the No.1 doubles position.
- PC battled back with Beth Lacey/Zeba Jamal winning 7-5 at the No. 3 spot before Claudia Sanchez/Lucianna Piedra won 7-5 at No. 2 doubles for the early 1-0 edge for PC.
- The Seahawks evened the match at one apiece with a win at No. 4 singles before Lacey grabbed a straight-set win at No.6 singles to push the Blue Hose back in front at 2-1.
- UNCW evened it up once again with a two-set win at No. 5 singles to set up a best of two-of-three in the remainder of the match.
- PC and UNCW traded singles win at the No. 1 and 3 spot before the Seahawks edged out the Blue Hose with a three-set win at No. 2 singles to take Saturday's match 4-3.
NOTES
- Sanchez and Lacey each picked up their third singles win of the season on Saturday.
- Sanchez and Piedra improved to 3-1 in doubles with the clinching point for Presbyterian in doubles action.
