HAMPTON, Va. – The Presbyterian Blue Hose (11-14, Big South: 3-7) fell to the Hampton Pirates (7-14, Big South: 3-7), 74-69, on the road.

Rayshon Harrison led the Blue Hose with 25 points.
Kirshon Thrash scored 10 points off the bench.
Marquis Barnett and
Trevon Reddish-Rhone tallied nine points apiece.
Terrell Ard, Jr. grabbed eight rebounds in the game. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF – Presbyterian behind baskets from Harrison and Ard jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first three minutes. When Reddish -Rhone connected on a free throw with 13:25 on the clock, Presbyterian had pushed their lead to 10 points, 14-4. With 12 minutes on the clock, Presbyterian led 19-9. Over the next seven minutes, Hampton outscored Presbyterian, 17-4, taking a 26-23 lead with five minutes on the clock. Thrash connected on a three from the wing tying the score at 26. The two teams exchanged baskets for the next few minutes. With the score tied at 30 with three and a half minutes on the clock, the Blue Hose scored six straight points behind two baskets by Thrash and a basket by
Brandon Younger. Presbyterian would take a 40-36 halftime lead.

SECOND HALF – Hampton began the half by scoring nine of the first 12 points taking a 45-43 lead two minutes into the half. Two free throws by Harrison and baskets by Barnett and
Winston Hill helped the Blue Hose regain the lead 49-45. Hampton scored 10 straight points regaining the lead for good. At the seven-minute mark, Hampton had a 66-55 lead. Baskets by
Owen McCormack, Harrison, Reddish-Rhone, and free throws by
Kobe Stewart and Younger cut Hampton's lead to 68-65 with 1:47 on the clock. Hampton scored inside pushing their lead back to five points. The Blue Hose were able to cut Hampton's lead to three points a couple of times but Presbyterian was not able to get any closer.

- Harrison's 25 points performance marked his tenth 20-point scoring game of the season.
- Thrash recorded his third double-digit scoring game of the season with his 10 points.
- Presbyterian finished the game with a 48-18 advantage on points in the paint.
