Men's Tennis Drops Tight Match at Furman

Greenville, S.C.. –  The Presbyterian College men's tennis team dropped a tight 4-3 decision on Wednesday afternoon to Furman at the Mickel Tennis Center. 

FINAL SCORE: Furman 4, Presbyterian 3

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Furman got out to a quick start at No. 1 doubles with a 6-3 victory before a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles gave the Paladins the doubles point.
- The Paladins pushed it to a 2-0 lead with a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles before Max Benson got the Blue Hose on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 win at the top spot for Presbyterian.
- The hosts grabbed a 3-1 lead at No. 3 singles before the Paladins clinched the match with a straight-set win at No. 5 singles.
- Javier Matos battled in No. 4 singles to a three-set victory before Dominguez closed the gap to its final margin at 4-3.  
 
NOTES
- Dominguez picked up his team-high fourth singles win on Wednesday afternoon.
 
UP NEXT
- The Blue Hose are back in action on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. when PC travels to Raleigh to battle N.C. State.
