Presbyterian Welcomes Radford to the Templeton Tennis Courts

The Presbyterian Blue Hose jump back into Big South Conference play when they play the Radford Highlanders at the Templeton Tennis Courts this Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m. The Blue Hose have won five straight matches with wins in nine of their last ten matches.

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian collected a thrilling 4-3 win on the road at Coastal Carolina on Friday, March 18. For the twelfth time this season, Presbyterian captured the doubles point. After trailing 3-1, singles wins by Sebastian Dominguez, Dusan Milanovic, and Javier Matos rallied Presbyterian for the 4-3 win.

BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
Presbyterian has now had five players garner Big South weekly honors this season. This week, Milanovic was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the fourth time (January 19, March 2, March 16, and March 23). Matos captured the Big South Player of the Week accolades for the first time in his career on March 16. Max Benson was named Big South Player of the Week for the fourth time in his career on February 16. Dominguez(January 19) and Georgije Babic (February 2) garnered league player of the week honors this season for the first time in their careers. 
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Dominguez enters the contest on a six-match winning streak. Milanovic has won five straight matches. Matos has won four straight matches.  Dominguez, Matos, and Milanovic are tied for the team lead with ten singles wins apiece. Benson has collected eight singles wins. Teo Cariov has won six of his last seven matches. Babic and Cariov have each tallied six wins. Nicholas McKinney has won five matches this season. Pedro Cardoso has recorded four singles wins.
 
The doubles tandem of Benson and Milanovic, who have been nationally ranked this season, have won ten straight matches to lead the Blue Hose with 13 wins on court one. The doubles team of Dominguez and Matos have won five straight matches on court three.
 
SCOUTING RADFORD HIGHLANDERS
Radford enters Sunday's match after a 7-0 win at Longwood and a 5-2 home win over UNC Asheville.
 
Andres Silva leads Radford with 13 wins with the majority of the wins coming at number three singles. Aditya Balsekar is second on the team with 12 wins primarily playing at number five singles.
 
The doubles tandems of Konstantinos Raptis and Guilherme Severin and Demis Taramonlis and Andres Silva are tied for the team lead with eight doubles wins apiece.
