Blue Hose Set to Host UNC Asheville on Wednesday

The Presbyterian Blue Hose continue Big South Conference play against UNC Asheville at the Templeton Tennis Court on Wednesday, March 30 at 2 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Presbyterian lost a tightly contested match to Radford, 4-3, at the Templeton Tennis Courts this past Sunday. Sebastian Dominguez, Dusan Milanovic, and Nicholas McKinney all collected singles wins.

BIG SOUTH WEEKLY HONORS
Presbyterian has now had five players garner Big South weekly honors this season. Last week, Milanovic was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the fourth time (January 19, March 2, March 16, and March 23). Javier Matos captured the Big South Player of the Week accolades for the first time in his career on March 16. Max Benson was named Big South Player of the Week for the fourth time in his career on February 16. Dominguez (January 19) and Georgije Babic (February 2) garnered league player of the week honors this season for the first time in their careers. 
 
BLUE HOSE BY THE NUMBERS
Presbyterian has won nine of their last 11 matches. Dominguez enters the contest on a seven-match winning streak. Milanovic has won six straight matches. Dominguez and Milanovic are tied for the team lead with 11 singles wins apiece. Matos has tallied ten singles wins this season. Benson has collected eight singles wins. Teo Cariov has won six of his last eight matches. Babic, Cariov, and McKinney have each tallied six wins. Pedro Cardoso has recorded four singles wins.
 
The doubles tandem of Benson and Milanovic, who have been nationally ranked this season, have won ten straight matches to lead the Blue Hose with 13 wins on court one. The doubles team of Dominguez and Matos have won five of their last six matches on court three.
 
SCOUTING UNC ASHEVILLE BULLDOGS
UNC Asheville enters the contest having dropped their last two matches with a road loss at Radford and a home setback at Campbell.
 
Leo Bierbaum, Bruno Serra, and Harry Thursfield lead the Bulldogs with eight singles win apiece. Thursfield has won eight of his last ten matches.
 
The doubles teams of Jon Brann Reid and Bierbaum and Rafa Serra and Bruno Serra have each collected five wins.
