Catamounts Down Blue Hose in Midweek Action

CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team fell in midweek action to visiting Western Carolina by the score of 15-2 at the PC Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
- Western Carolina plated the first three runs on Wednesday with an RBI single in the first before pushing two more across in the third to take the early 3-0 lead.
- The Blue Hose got on the board in their half of the third with a two-run single off the bat of Chase Hughes to cut the deficit to 3-2. 
- The Catamounts extended the lead in the fifth with an RBI single and two-run home run to take a 6-2 advantage.
- WCU pushed across five runs in the eighth and four in the ninth to claim the 15-2 win on Wednesday night.

NOTABLES
- Brody Fahr, Jay Wetherington, and Chase Hughes led the offense with two hits apiece.
- Fahr is tied for the team lead with four multi-hit games this season.
- Wetherington now has a team-high 10-game hit streak.
- Logan Ymker set a season-high with three strikeouts in his two innings of work.
- Darien Rorabeck set a new career-high with three strikeouts in his two innings on Wednesday.
