HOW IT HAPPENED
Edmisten opened the Blue Hose scoring with a goal on an assist from Ana Boothe to give PC the early 1-0 lead. Winthrop quickly answered with a goal a minute later to tie the game at one. The Blue Hose junior gave them a lead on a free position shot in the final minute to give PC a 2-1 lead after one.

Freshman Willow Hammond pushed the Blue Hose lead to 3-1 halfway thru the second quarter for PC. Winthrop evened it up with two goals over the final five minutes to send the game to the half all tied at three.

In the third quarter, Edmisten and Taryn Tomas got a pair of man-up goals to push PC's lead out to 5-3 before a goal in the final five seconds made it 5-4 Blue Hose heading to the fourth.

The Eagles quickly tied it up at five a minute into the fourth before Edmisten pushed PC back in front 6-5 three minutes into the final quarter. Winthrop went on a three-goal run over the next four minutes to take an 8-6 lead with 6:13 to go. Edmisten tallied her fifth goal of the night with 2:28 to go but that would be as close as the Blue Hose could get as a late goal for the Eagles made it a 9-7 final.
