CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team battled in its longest game of the 2022 season against #24 Wofford before dropping an 8-7 decision in 11 innings to the visiting Terriers at the PC Baseball Complex. Sophomore Noah Lebron led the Blue Hose on Tuesday with three hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- PC got on the board first in the opening frame with a sacrifice fly from Dalton Reeves before a Brody Fahr RBI single made it 2-0 early for the Blue Hose.
- Wofford answered in the second with a three-run frame to take the early 3-2 lead.
- The Blue Hose evened it up in the home half of the second with a double-play ball allowing a run to score and tie the game at three after two innings.
- The Blue Hose plated a pair of runs in the fourth off of a sacrifice fly from Kyle Decker before an RBI single from Jay Wetherington pushed it to 5-3.
- An RBI single from the guests in the fifth made it 5-4 Blue Hose.
- In the ninth, Wofford regained the lead off of a two-run double to make it 6-5 heading to the home half of the ninth.
- PC used a two-out hit from Jack Gorman in the bottom of the ninth to even the game back up at six and force bonus baseball.
- Following a scoreless tenth, Wofford tallied a pair of runs in the 11th and the Blue Hose pushed across a run before the Terriers stranded a pair of runners and gave the guests the 8-7 decision.
NOTABLES
- Lebron led the Blue Hose with a career-high three hits which included his first double of the season.
- Wetherington and Gorman each added two hits in the contest. Gorman now leads the team with 13 multi-hit games and Wetherington has 11 on the year.
- Reeves recorded his team-high 11th double of the season in the fifth inning.
- Wetherington also swiped his 15th stolen base which he leads the team in that category. Decker added his 12th of the year.
- With his first-inning RBI single, Fahr has reached base safely in 28 straight games.
- Darien Rorabeck matched a career-high tossing three scoreless frames in relief.
- Tuesday's game was the longest in time for the Blue Hose in 2022 at 4:33 ,and that matches the longest game in innings with the 11 innings PC played at UNF on February 20th.
