BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Â The Presbyterian Blue Hose women's lacrosse team (2-13, BSC: 0-7) fell to the Campbell Camels (10-4, BSC:Â 7-0), 20-4, on the road on Wednesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the first quarter, Campbell jumped out to an early lead after scoring the first three goals of the game. With 6:54 on the clock, Presbyterian's Nya Bettis scored her eighth goal of the season off an assist by Willow Hammond. At the 2:57 mark of the quarter, Presbyterian's Kenzie Partsch scored her fifth goal of the season off an assist by Abby Edmisten cutting Campbell's lead to 3-2. Campbell scored with a minute and half left in the quarter pushing their lead to 4-2.
- In the second quarter, Campbell scored six unanswered goals giving the Camels a 10-2 halftime lead.
- In the third quarter, the Camels scored the first six goals of the quarter. With 2:25 left in the quarter, Presbyterian's Ava Ward tallied her fourth goal of the season off an assist by Edmisten.
- The Camels scored four of the five goals recorded in the fourth quarter. Edmisten scored her 34th goal of the season off a free position shot with 3:56 left in the game.
NOTABLES
- Edmisten scored one goal and recorded two assists in the game.
- The Blue Hose finished the game with eight shots. Partsch recorded a team-high three shots.
