The Presbyterian College Blue Hose softball team plays the North Carolina A&T Aggies in a three-game Big South Conference road series at the Lady Aggies Softball Complex in Greensboro, N.C., April 30-May 1. The series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 30 starting at 1 p.m. The final game of the series is Sunday, May 1 at 1 p.m.

Last weekend, the Blue Hose swept a three-game home series with Winthrop. For the series against Winthrop, the Blue Hose scored 14 runs while connecting on 23 hits including eight extra-base hits (five doubles, three home runs). Presbyterian's pitching staff recorded 33 strikeouts in 21 innings of work in the series.

For her performance last week, Morgan Hess was named Big South Freshman of the Week for the second time.

Presbyterian is 15-6 in league play and in a three-way tie for second place in the Big South. The 15 wins is a new school record for Big South Conference wins in a season. The 30 overall wins is a program record for wins in a season during the Division I era.
 
The Blue Hose are second in the Big South and 32nd in the nation in hitting with a team average of .305. They are second in the Big South and 18^th in the nation in pitching with a 2.09 ERA. PC ranks second in the league with a fielding percentage of .966.
 
Kaitlyn Tucker is fifth in the Big South with a .367 batting average. Layna Johnson ranks seventh in the league with a .361 batting average. Johnson leads the Blue Hose with 43 hits. While Jillian Hewes has collected 41 hits. Lath Freeman, and Tucker have all tallied 40 hits apiece. Hess leads the Blue Hose with 11 home runs and 39 RBIs. Lath Freeman is second on the team with 34 RBIs.

Jenna Greene and Hess lead the Blue Hose in the circle with 15 and 13 wins, respectively. Those numbers rank them third and fifth in the conference. Hess leads the team and ranks third in the league with a 1.62 ERA. Greene is fifth in the league with a 1.82 ERA. Greene is third in the Big South with 171 strikeouts.
 
SCOUTING NORTH CAROLINA A&T AGGIES
Presbyterian won the last two meetings between the two teams which came in Greensboro, N.C. on February 21, 2021. The Blue Hose won both games (6-1, 8-0) of the doubleheader.

The Aggies have lost 14 of their last 15 games entering this series.
