SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
- Gardner-Webb is 7-8 on the season including a 5-2 mark in conference play entering Wednesday's match in Clinton. This is the third attempt that PC and Gardner-Webb have tried to play this season with the last two being rained out.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs dropped a 5-2 decision to CSU on Sunday in their last on court action.
- Teodora Ristic leads Gardner-Webb with an 11-3 record including a perfect 7-0 mark in her league matches. Ristic has won 10 consecutive matches leads the way for Gardner-Webb.
- Ristic and Maria Jardim are the top doubles pair for Gardner-Webb with a 9-4 mark including winning five of their six conference matches.
- Gardner-Webb is 12-2 all-time against the Blue Hose in the DI era with PC winning two of the last three meetings against GWU.

SCOUTING UNC ASHEVILLE
- UNC Asheville enters with an 11-4 record following back-to-back league losses against Radford & Campbell.

JAMAL EARNS BIG SOUTH HONORS
- Presbyterian College senior Zeba Jamal was named the Big South Women's Tennis Co-Player of the Week, for the week of March 14-20, the league announced on Wednesday.
- It's the first Player of the Week honor for Jamal in her Blue Hose career and the fourth award that PC has earned in the 2022 season. Senior Jessica Leeman earned a Player of Week earlier this season and freshman Claudia Sanchez netted two Freshman of the Week honors.
- The Bradenton, Fla. native paired with senior Beth Lacey earned a dominating 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles that propelled the Blue Hose to a 1-0 lead on Saturday against Radford. Jamal and Lacey improved to 3-0 in doubles action in conference play for the Blue Hose.
- Playing from the No. 1 singles position, Jamal battled back from a first set defeat to win in three sets with an 11-9 super tiebreak in the third set to defeat the reigning Big South Player and Freshman of the Year.

RECORD WATCH
- Senior Jessica Leeman has tallied 13 conference wins in her career at Presbyterian and needs just two more to set the program record held by Tracy Johnson and Katie Thompson with 14 apiece.
- Freshman Claudia Sanchez needs just one more win at the No. 3 singles position to set the DI single-season record for wins at that spot with eight.

PRESEASON POLL
- The Presbyterian College women's tennis team was selected fourth by the league's coaches in the Big South Preseason Poll, as was announced earlier this week.
- The fourth-place selection marks the highest ever preseason ranking the Blue Hose have earned in their time in the Big South surpassing the fifth-place selection during the 2019 preseason.
- Charleston Southern received eight first-place votes and 80 total points as the Buccaneers were tabbed to win the league. Radford earned a first-place vote and earned 62 points. Campbell totaled 57 points and finished in third place with PC earning 56 points and finishing in fourth in the preseason poll. UNC Asheville was selected fifth with 49 points, while Gardner-Webb slid in sixth place with 47 points. Longwood was chosen seventh in the preseason poll with 27 points, with N.C. A&T (15 points) in eighth and Hampton rounded out the field with 12 points in ninth place.
