#25 Bulldogs Down Blue Hose in Non-Conference Finale

Athens, Ga. –  The Presbyterian College baseball team could not overcome the Bulldogs early offense as #25 Georgia picked up an 18-3 victory on Tuesday night at Foley Field in the Blue Hose final non-conference game of the 2022 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
- Dalton Reeves got PC on the board first with a sacrifice fly in the opening frame before an RBI single from Jack Gorman gave the Blue Hose a 2-0 advantage after the top of the first.
- Georgia responded in its half of the first with a pair of runs of its own to even the game at two after one inning.
- The Bulldogs pushed across four runs in the second on the power of a pair of homers in the frame. 
- The host tallied a three-run homer in the third to push it to a 9-2 lead after three. 
- In the fourth, Georgia added a five-run inning capped by a three-run double. 
- The Bulldogs added a single run in the fifth and sixth inning along with a pair of runs in the eighth.  
- PC tallied a run in the ninth before the Bulldogs secured the win on Tuesday night in Athens. 

NOTABLES
- Kyle Decker recorded his 16th stolen base of the season following his fourth double of the year. 
- Brody Fahr was hit by a pitch twice on Tuesday night marking the fourth different Blue Hose player to draw multiple hit by pitches in a game. 
- Eric Toth tallied his team-high 68th hit in the opening inning to get PC started in Athens on Tuesday.
- Reeves recorded his 35th run knocked in to tie for the team lead with Jeremiah Boyd. Reeves picked it up on his fifth sacrifice fly of the season. 
- Sophomore Tanner Smith earned his fifth multi strikeouts performance of the season with his two strikeouts in a scoreless seventh inning.
- In the ninth, Miles Watson recorded his first hit as a member of the Blue Hose with a line drive back up the middle. 
- PC has scored first in 30 games so far during the 2022 season. 

Up Next
- The Blue Hose close out the 2022 regular season beginning on Thursday at 6 p.m. with the opening game against High Point. Friday afternoon's first pitch is set for 3 p.m. with the series wrapping up on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Clinton. All three games will be shown on ESPN+.
